🚨 Weather Delay: Bus Routes Running Late 🚨 We anticipate lifting the Shelter-in-Place by 3:45 PM. Due to inclement weather, bus routes will be approximately one hour delayed. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we Shelter in Place to ensure the safety of all students and staff. As soon as conditions allow for a safe dismissal, we will begin releasing students and transporting them home. Please expect longer travel times as we work to complete all routes safely. 🎉 Zapata Elementary is proud to celebrate La Joya ISD’s 100th Anniversary! 🎉 Our talented students from the Art, Theater Arts, and Character Kids clubs helped create a special Centennial Display that showcased the history of Zapata Elementary. With the guidance of Art teacher Mrs. Maribel Garza, Counselor Mr. Polito, and Parent Liaison Mrs. Gonzalez, the display highlighted the biography of our school, featuring staff members from the opening of the school to today. The display also included students' artwork, a musical performance, and contributions from the Character Kids club.
