The 5th grade choir from Zapata Elementary, under the direction of Mr. Pepito, had the honor of participating in the La Joya School District’s Veterans Day Music Performance. Alongside other local elementary schools, our students came together to pay tribute to the brave men and women who have served in the military. It was a heartwarming performance that captured the spirit of gratitude and respect for our veterans. Our students at Zapata Elementary had an exciting opportunity to learn about Election Day by participating in a **mock election** in the classroom! 📚🇺🇸 They got to cast their votes, experience the process firsthand, and learn about the importance of civic engagement. It was a fun and educational way for them to explore how elections work and why voting matters.
