š **Zapata Elementary Legacy Banquet at La Joya ISD!** š
Zapata Elementary recently held a special Legacy Banquet at the Tabasco Room, celebrating the dedicated staff and the rich history of our campus. The evening was filled with heartwarming memories, highlighted by a stunning Mariachi performance from Palmview High School students.
We were honored by the presence of special guests, including Superintendent Dr. Marcey Sorensen, Dr. Little, and former Zapata Elementary principals Bertha Perez and Rosa Gonzalez Vela. Past principals Eva Alaniz and Belen Martinez were also recognized for their service and leadership.
The event, hosted by our current Principal Cynthia Salinas and the Social Committee, allowed teachers to reflect on cherished memories, enjoy great food, and take photos with colleagues and friends.
