Zapata Elementary embarked on a journey of creativity, self-expression, and fun as we celebrated Intrrnational Dot Day Septrmber 15, 2023. Our incredible school librarian, S. Lumbreras, led an enchanting read-aloud of "The Dot" by Peter Reynolds. Students echoed with joy as students grooved to the rhythm of "The Dot Song" by Emily Arrow and immerse themselves in hands-on activities. Activities included coloring, painting, drawing and scavenger hunts. To wrap up our Dot Day festivities, students gathered for a small library snack and took pictures of their dot attire.
A heartfelt thanks to our amazing Principal, Ms. Salinas, for her unwavering support, and to our dedicated counselor, librarian, teachers, students, parents, and our invaluable office and nursing staff. Your collective efforts transformed International Dot Day into an enjoyable and memorable experience for our students.
